I think my inherent gravitation to skulls comes from this idea that, in many ways, they represent rebellion. But if you really think about it, skulls are the opposite of rebellion. They’re the symbol of sameness. It’s the absolute one thing we all have in common. How ironic. Oftentimes I catch a saying running loops in my head or a lyric from a song and I’ll write it down. Maybe it doesn’t mean anything to me at that moment, but sure enough in time it reveals its meaning. This series showcases some of those sayings and maybe you will find meaning in them, too.
